What is the difference between a VPS and a VDS?

A VPS (Virtual Private Server) is a virtual server sharing physical resources (CPU, RAM, disk) with other VPS instances on the same host. Resources are allocated in proportion. A VDS (Virtual Dedicated Server) provides more isolated and fixed resources of a physical server (CPU, RAM, disk) exclusively to you. A VDS typically guarantees better performance and higher security compared to a standard VPS.
